Liverpool are confident of making three first-team signings before the transfer deadline shuts, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League giants are yet to agree a senior deal this summer, but talks are ongoing in the background and they are believed to be very active.

Liverpool are working on multiple deals including for a wide forward, a defensive midfielder, and a central defender.

The club are also expected to sign a back-up goalkeeper should Caoimhin Kelleher leave Anfield before the window shuts.

The Reds have been quiet throughout this transfer window, but Arne Slot will be looking to bring players in to put his own stamp on the squad.

According to sources, there is expected to be a blizzard of late-window activity at Anfield.

Liverpool are working on a player-exchange deal for Anthony Gordon

One player that the Premier League giants are continuing to pursue is Newcastle United winger, Anthony Gordon.

This has been one of summer’s transfer sagas, as Liverpool have been pushing to sign the England international despite Newcastle's resistance to his departure.
