Liverpool plot £10m summer raid for 17-year-old wonderkid, Klopp convinced he is real deal - report

Liverpool are planning a raid for Nottingham Forest’s Ben Brereton in the summer, according to a report.
The Sun reports that the Premier League side will have to fork out £10million if they are to force Forest to sell the 17-year-old.
Jurgen Klopp is a big fan and is said to want to mould the striker into a future Anfield star after acknowledging there is not a hugely promising youngster rising through the ranks at the club.
The German boss has clearly done his homework on the Forest wonderkid as he has sent scouts to watch his last few matches and they have been blown away by his talent.
Brereton made his Forest first-team debut in January when he came off the bench against Leeds.

He scored his first goal in senior goal when he found the net to secure a vital stoppage time winner against Aston Villa.
In his nine appearances for the club so far, the English striker has found the net on three occasions and has set up a further two goals for his teammates.
All this while Forest have been struggling to get results in the Championship and find themselves dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Brereton failed to help his side in his last game when they lost 1-0 to fellow strugglers Burton Albion in an East Midlands derby.
Football Insider Verdict
A move to Liverpool at this early stage in Brereton’s career could prove to be detrimental to his progress. There is no chance that he will get any sort of regular first-team football at Anfield when the current side is littered with expensive, continental-quality talent. He’s getting a good amount of football with Forest so unless he secures a loan move back to the City Ground, or another Championship club that is perhaps geographically closer to Merseyside, then it’s doubtful that he will progress to his highly-anticipated potential. However, the lad has undoubted talent and Klopp seems convinced that he can turn him into a mega-star. If you were Brereton, would you turn down that sort of invitation?
In other Liverpool transfer news, the club are reportedly ready to spend over £40million on this 22-year-old.
