Liverpool fans have praised Jurgen Klopp for his decision to leave forward Sadio Mane on the bench for the Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Sunday.
Klopp, who has been criticised by Liverpool supporters for rotating his squad in recent weeks, decided to rest the 25-year-old and start Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain instead.
Mane has been a key player for the Reds this season, scoring seven goals in all competitions, but has been disappointing in recent games and is without a goal in his last three appearances.
Liverpool supporters were pleased with Klopp’s decision and took to social media to react to the news.
Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the best tweets from Liverpool supporters:
Mane given a rest it seems, good to see Lallana back in the squad! 3 points needed, come on Reds! #LFC

Mane rightfully benched today, awful last two games, hopefully can come on off the bench and play for the team rather than himself

Not got an issue with our team today. Mane has been off the pace slightly. Oxlade Chamberlain has been sharp too recently.

No problem with Mane on the bench. A guarentees starter usually but has lost his way a little. He'll find some form and be smashing it again for us. Oxlaide deserves a start too. No problems with that X1.

Liverpool travel to the Vitality Stadium to face Eddie Howe’s side, looking to get back to winning ways after the goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday.
Klopp’s side are currently in sixth place in the Premier League and will climb into the top-four with a victory on the south coast.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth are in 16th place, just one point above the relegation and are without a win in their last five Premier League games.
The Cherries have only beaten Liverpool once in all competitions, that victory came in dramatic fashion as they came from behind to win 4-3 in this exact fixture last season.
In other Liverpool news, Newcastle United are hoping to secure a loan move for this Reds player in January, according to a reliable journalist.
