Liverpool wingers Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane will be "licking their lips" at the prospect of Man City defender Kyle Walker missing Saturday's FA Cup semi-final, according to Paul Robinson.

The former Premier League goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed it would be "a big blow" to Pep Guardiola's side if the 31-year-old was ruled out of the clash.

Walker came off after 74 minutes of City's 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.

Speaking to club media (15 April), Guardiola revealed the right-back had suffered "a big twist" at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

However, the City boss added that Walker is "getting better" and could feature at Wembley.

When asked by Football Insider's Dylan Childs for his assessment of the news, Robinson said: "It'd be a big blow to lose him, definitely.

"He has played in all the big games this season. When the important games come around he gets selected. I have no doubt that he would start if he was fully fit.

"[Ruben] Dias coming back in will soften the blow. The squad is definitely strong enough to cope without Walker but the team is also stronger with him in it.

"I'm sure Mane and Diaz would be licking their lips if Walker is out."

Speaking on Walker, Guardiola said: “Kyle had a big twist.

“He is getting better. We will see in the next hours, the next days."
