Real Madrid will demand £100million if they're to sell Rodrygo to Liverpool or any other Premier League club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what sources have told him about Rodrygo's situation ahead of the summer window.

Liverpool fans were given hope that a deal for Rodrygo might be possible after the Brazilian's reported bust-up with Jude Bellingham, but Madrid aren't likely to entertain any bids under £70m as a minimum.

Sources have told Football Insider that Rodrygo's valuation at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will be much closer to £100m, as Madrid look to ramp up their potential transfer fee amid interest from several clubs.

Premier League runners-up Arsenal have led the way for Rodrygo and see him as a "statement" signing, but Manchester City and Chelsea are also keen on the 24-year-old.

Rodrygo price tag ramped up by Premier League transfer race

Liverpool's interest in Rodrygo is concrete after experienced scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Arne Slot wants to strengthen in the form of two additions in attack, yet Real Madrid hold all of the cards.

Speaking on the new Inside Track, O'Rourke said that Los Blancos are confident their £100m valuation could indeed be met if Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea all make good on their initial interest.

“It's going to be a big fee, whatever [it takes] to try and lure him away from Real Madrid", he told Football Insider.

"The minimum you're probably talking about is £70million plus – I'm sure Real Madrid will probably be holding out for as close as possible to £100 million.

"Arsenal, Manchester City have been mentioned, Liverpool have been mentioned. I'm sure Chelsea would probably throw their hat into the ring as well, if a player like Rodrygo did become available and wanted to leave.”

Liverpool badly placed to complete Rodrygo transfer

Although the Brazilian hasn't seen eye-to-eye with Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe at the Bernabeu this season, Rodrygo has done the opposite of suggesting that he plans to force his way out of Real Madrid.

Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Rodrygo is unlikely to see Arsenal as an attractive proposition compared to Madrid, but it's unclear if he feels the same way about Liverpool.

The Reds' own relationship with Real Madrid is hardly on good terms ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold's imminent exit from Anfield, and Liverpool won't expect any favours when it comes to Rodrygo's potential transfer fee.
