Liverpool believe £70K-a-wk Tottenham player open to join them, Levy is main obstacle - reports

Liverpool are convinced that Victor Wanyama is interested in joining them this summer, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claim that the Tottenham midfield anchorman could be interested in a transfer in the forthcoming window after struggling to regain his regular starting spot since returning from injury in December.
It is said that Liverpool and Manchester United have “taken note” that the Kenya international, 26, has played second fiddle to Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier in recent months
The Mail report that the two northern giants see Spurs chairman Daniel Levy as the biggest obstacle to a possible move for the £40million-rated ace.
The Daily Star claim Wanyama is on £70,000-a-week at Tottenham after joining from Southampton in the summer of 2016.
Football Insider verdict:
Liverpool are almost certain to be in the market for a midfield anchorman this summer as they prepare to bid goodbye to Emre Can. Wanyama is a proven Premier League performer whose energy, game awareness and athleticism make him a formidable competitor. As Liverpool recently witnessed first hand through his Anfield wonder goal, the Kenyan is also technically first-rate. He would be a fine signing. Wanyama has struggled to displace Dier of late, but many Spurs fans regard him as the ideal partner for Dembele.
