Bradley Barcola's potential move to Liverpool is stalling as they struggle to agree a fee with PSG, sources have told Football Insider.

Liverpool hold an interest in signing Barcola this summer following Mo Salah's departure.

Andoni Iraola is keen to add versatile attackers who can feature on either flank to his squad during his first transfer window at the helm.

Barcola has expressed a desire to explore a move away from PSG after struggling for starts in key games last season.

Negotiations are ongoing, but as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, the deal to take Barcola to Anfield is being held up by a difference in opinion over his price tag.

They are believed to be holding out for a fee over £100million, which is what the Reds value him at as it stands.

Talks have been held between Liverpool and Barcola's representatives, with an understanding that he is open to a move to Merseyside.

The 23-year-old looks set to leave PSG after seeing even more competition arrive for places in their attack, while he also missed out on their Super Cup triumph in midweek.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Well, look, PSG are well stocked in attack now with Torres coming in. They've brought in Akliouche as well from Monaco, and they're after Mika Godts from Ajax as well. PSG are strengthening their attacking positions as well, and not all of these players can play.

"Barcola was missing from the Super Cup win over Aston Villa in midweek. He's been Liverpool's long-term target all summer. Negotiations have been going on between the two clubs, but those seem to be quite far apart in valuations of what Liverpool are willing to pay and what PSG want."

Groningen eyeing Kieran Morrison after strong pre-season showings

Young Liverpool winger Morrison has staked his claim to be included in Iraola's plans for the coming campaign in recent weeks.

He scored in a friendly against Sunderland and started against Leeds after signing a new contract in May.

The 19-year-old could leave Merseyside soon, with sources revealing to Football Insider that Dutch side Groningen are keen on signing Morrison on loan this summer.

He scored 14 goals in 19 PL2 games last season and is ready to step up to play regular senior football as clubs across Europe eye a move.
