Curtis Jones has gone viral on social media after lashing out at his own teammates during Liverpool's pre-season game against Wrexham.

Rio Ngumoha scored the only goal of the game at the Yankee Stadium on Thursday, 30 July, as his deflected shot looped over Callum Burton.

With two wins from two, Andoni Iraola's reign has gotten off to a positive start, even with the ongoing exit news emerging from Anfield.

Jones, 25, has been the subject of great transfer interest from Inter Milan during the current window, and fans are now wishing for the Italian giants to make a move.

At full-time of the Reds' clash with Wrexham, the midfielder had to held back by teammate Dominik Szoboszlai, before being crowded by Kostas Tsimikas and Jeremy Frimpong.

There are theories that the player was furious that Szoboszlai handed the captain's armband to Tsimikas, who spent last season on loan at Roma.

Curtis Jones could create 'toxic' Liverpool dressing room

While a small number of fans have been impressed by his passion in a pre-season friendly, a growing number have taken to the footage negatively.

One supporter even fears that Jones could turn the dressing room "toxic," and it's difficult to disagree with that concern following this footage.

It is understandable getting so upset, especially given the amount of minutes he got last term, but screaming at his club captain is just not right.

How did Liverpool's No.17 perform vs Wrexham?

Jones came on at half-time, the same time as Tsimikas, so it would make sense that he wanted the captain's armband instead of the full-back.

He played the entire second half, taking 55 touches, completing 88 per cent of his passes, but failed to create any chances or have a shot at goal [FotMob].

In defence, the midfielder was far too relaxed, losing 100 per cent of his ground duels, being dribbled past twice, and making no tackles.

Had he put in more of a shift against the Championship opposition, it would be easier to defend Jones' actions, but he simply wasn't at the races.
