Liverpool told Real Madrid’s updated stance on accepting permanent Endrick offer
Liverpool will find it tough to sign Endrick in this window as Jose Mourinho plans to include him in his squad, sources have told Football Insider.
Andoni Iraola is keen to add more quality to his forward line at the end of this window before the deadline passes on 1 September.
Liverpool have been tracking several big-name attackers over the last few months, with Endrick emerging onto their radar in recent days.
The Brazilian attacker struggled for minutes at Real last season and was sent out on loan to Lyon in the January window.
He impressed in his short Ligue 1 spell, and as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, new Madrid manager Mourinho is keen to keep him around for 2026-27.
Liverpool are unlikely to be able to complete a deal for Endrick's services, as a result, so must focus their efforts elsewhere in the next nine days.
Liverpool set to miss out on Endrick despite initial enquiry
Endrick registered eight goals and assists each in 21 matches for Lyon to help them qualify for the Champions League in fourth place.
Liverpool have reportedly enquired about his potential availability, but stand little chance of agreeing a deal right now as he returns to Real to fight for his place in the team.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Real Madrid see his long-term future at the Bernabeu. They do have high hopes for him, as he's still only 20, Endrick, as well, so I think it'll be very difficult for Liverpool and any other Premier League club to land him on a permanent deal because I don't think Real will be willing to do that.
"I also think Jose Mourinho is counting on Endrick this season, because he will be needed in some respects, as Kylian Mbappe is not going to be able to play every game. If there are any injuries in that attacking quartet that Madrid have, you'd imagine Endrick would be the next player needed to come on."
Liverpool want Tyler Adams but face tough Bournemouth negotiations
Iraola is also looking to bolster his midfield before the end of the window, with Bournemouth's Adams on his radar after they worked together well on the south coast.
Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Bournemouth have no plans to lose Adams this late in the window.
It remains to be seen if he pushes for a move away from the club to join his former manager at the Reds, or if they face another rejection in a tough summer so far.
