Liverpool have managed to tie highly-rated stars Josh Abe and Erik Farkas to scholarship contracts at Anfield.

The Reds have confirmed that the 15-year-old winger and 16-year-old midfielder have committed their futures to the club.

According to Liverpool-based journalists, Abe has turned down interest from several Premier League clubs to stay at the Merseyside outfit and has agreed a pre-contract for a three-year deal when he turns 17.

Andoni Iraola's fingerprints seem to be all over the Reds' ability to tie prospects like Abe and Farkas down to new contracts.

FSG’s transfer plans after Arne Slot’s exit will definitely change a bit and the former Bournemouth manager will surely have some say in the recruitment strategy in L4.

Andoni Iraola lends Liverpool helping hand

Iraola has built a reputation for developing young talents during his time at Bournemouth and Liverpool will definitely want him to do the same for them.

It would definitely have been easier for the Merseysiders to convince their academy graduates to stay in L4, given the Spanish manager's track record of giving youth a chance.

Abe and Farkas are two of the most promising players at Anfield and fans in L4 will certainly be keeping an eye on their development in the coming years.

Andoni Iraola record to excite Anfield faithful

Liverpool fans will look at Iraola’s work with the likes of Dean Huijsen, Ilya Zabarnyi, Milos Kerkez, Alex Scott, Rayan and Junior Kroupi at Bournemouth and hope for something similar at Anfield.

Rio Ngumoha will surely be one of the obvious winners after the 43-year-old head coach arrives at the Reds, while the Spanish manager will also undoubtedly be confident about bringing the best out of Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike.

Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni could potentially develop into the next defensive partnership under the former Bournemouth boss if given the opportunities.

It’s easy to see why FSG have potentially chosen Iraola to take their project at Anfield forward after his impeccable work at the Vitality Stadium.
