Sources: Yankuba Minteh to Liverpool update
Liverpool remain interested in agreeing a deal to sign Brighton star Yankuba Minteh in the January window, sources have told Football Insider.
The Reds registered an interest in Minteh last month amid their search to bolster Andoni Iraola's attacking depth.
Their pursuit of his services lasted until the final days of the summer window, but a deal could not be agreed.
Liverpool have instead headed into the campaign without another attacking arrival alongside Bradley Barcola.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, they could still make a move for Minteh following the turn of the year.
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has already hinted at a deal still being alive for him to move to Merseyside in January.

Sources exclusively revealed to Football Insider last Monday that Liverpool were still interested in signing Minteh, as they tracked him and Crystal Palace star Ismaila Sarr.
Brighton had rejected two bids for his services from the Reds at that point, as interest cooled and Iraola decided to keep Cody Gakpo.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Liverpool will be looking at a number of targets in January if they are planning to bring in a new right-sided attacker, somebody to fill the void of Mohamed Salah. I'm sure they'll be keeping tabs on Yankuba Minteh's situation at Brighton, they made a couple of bids for him that were rejected.
"A lot will depend on what Liverpool do between now and January, if Barcola comes in and hits the ground running and maybe they find a solution to that right wing position, whether that's Cody Gakpo or Victor Munoz, then they might not need to bring in that right-sided attacker."
What has Hurzeler said about Minteh's move to Liverpool?
Minteh registered seven goal contributions in 36 appearances for Brighton last season, with Liverpool clearly keen to invest in his potential at 22-years-old.
Hurzeler is without his key man right now as he deals with a leg injury, but the Seagulls manager has admitted that a move may not be far away.
Speaking to reporters this week, he said: "If the whole team is successful and the individual shines, then Yankuba will get a lot of attention again and he can then maybe fulfil his dream in the next transfer window.
"It's also about him now to commit. In the end, we always say we want to be successful as a club and then you can shine as individuals That is what we have proved in the past. If we achieve things together, the attention will come to the individual players and that will be the case also this season."
