Liverpool will surely be keeping a close eye on Juventus' attempts to prise Jordan Pickford away from Everton this summer.

The Italian giants have identified the 32-year-old as a key target to strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of 2026-27.

The Old Lady have placed great emphasis on their search to find a new number one in recent weeks, and they have now turned their attention towards the England international.

That is according to Italian outlet Tutto Juve, who have noted that a move for the former Sunderland man would require a "significant investment," given that Everton don't want to lose him.

The Toffees may face a battle to keep hold of the shot-stopper for next season, and Liverpool will be glad that it is now their rivals who are in Juventus' firing line.

Liverpool have victory in sight in Alisson battle

Liverpool have been locked in a back-and-forth with Juventus in recent weeks, as the Serie A side have had Alisson on their radar as a clear option.

Luciano Spalletti's side have been pursuing the Brazilian as their number one option, but have continually been met with resistance from Anfield.

Alisson's stance on 'forcing' Liverpool transfer revealed amid Juventus update

Football Insider revealed back in May that Alisson has no intention of forcing a move away from Liverpool this summer, and is prepared to stay put if that's what the club preferred.

The Brazilian is about to enter the final year of his contract on Merseyside, but he has been deemed as too important for the Reds to lose this summer.

With that in mind, they will surely have breathed a sigh of relief after news of Juventus' interest in Pickford from Tutto Juve, as it may finally mean that they have given up chasing Alisson.

Andoni Iraola arrival to spark seven-man overhaul at Anfield

Former Manchester United chief scout told Mick Brown told Football Insider last week that Andoni Iraola is already eyeing up an overhaul of the Liverpool squad.

The Spanish boss has only been through the door for a matter of days, but is already working to identify ways of improving the squad.

Brown emphasised that there are "six or seven" positions that he already wants to strengthen, which looks set to lead to another busy summer of business at Anfield.

The likes of Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson will need to be replaced with proven quality, but that is far from the full extent of the Reds' requirements from the window.
