Vinicius Junior opens door for Liverpool to sign Real Madrid star
Vinicius Junior's failed move to Arsenal has plunged Endrick's Real Madrid future into doubt as Liverpool eye his services, sources have told Football Insider.
Real moved to tie Vinicius down to a new six-year contract at the start of August after he was targeted by Arsenal.
Jose Mourinho has been heavily backed upon his return to the Bernabeu, with Los Blancos beating Liverpool to Yan Diomande's signature to further bolster his attacking options.
Young forward Endrick was forced out on loan last season through a lack of game time, and his minutes seem unlikely to increase in the coming season.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Liverpool could now pounce to sign Endrick as they look to add to Andoni Iraola's forward line.
Iraola is keen to add another wide player to his squad, particularly with Cody Gakpo heavily rumoured to join Tottenham before the close of the window.
Liverpool monitoring Endrick transfer amid Real Madrid uncertainty
Endrick has been tipped for greatness since emerging through Palmeiras' youth ranks, but has struggled to nail down a spot in Madrid's starting eleven in the last two seasons.
He impressed out on loan at Lyon last term, with eight goals and assists each in 21 appearances, and Liverpool are now keen to sign him if he pushes to leave the Spanish giants.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "He's an interesting name for Liverpool, no doubt about it. It's going to be interesting to see where he fits in at Real Madrid in this upcoming season, having seen Yan Diomande come in, and obviously Vinicius Junior has signed a new contract as well.
"He's going to find it hard to get into that starting eleven at Real Madrid. It will all be dependent on where Endrick sees his future."
Liverpool remain hopeful of signing Bradley Barcola as PSG exit looms
Barcola has been the Reds' top attacking target throughout the summer window, and looks set to leave PSG as he is left out of their matchday squads for the time being.
Their pursuit of his services is dragging on as the 1 September transfer deadline looms, but sources have revealed to Football Insider that Liverpool are still optimistic about signing Barcola this summer.
He is keen to move to Anfield, but the two clubs still need to reach an agreement over a transfer fee for the deal to go through.
