Celtic fans react to John McGinn display for Hibernian after reported transfer interest

Celtic fans on social media were very impressed with John McGinn’s performance for Hibernian, in the match which the Easter Road side won 2-1.

The Hoops went to Edinburgh with the chance of winning the title, but Neil Lennon’s side deservedly won the game, and the 23-year-old was a big part of that, as he controlled the midfield for large parts of the game.

McGinn has done well in previous matches against the Hoops this season, scoring twice in a 2-2 at Celtic Park in September, and fans have long debated about him being good enough for the Hoops.

The player has been linked with a move to the Hoops in the past, with the Daily Mail reporting in January that both the Hoops and West Ham were showing interested in the player.

Here are some of the best reactions from Hoops fans to McGinn’s performance:

It will be interesting to see if the Hoops make many additions to their midfield in the summer, as that is the most populated area of their side.

With doubts surrounding the future of Stuart Armstrong though, Brendan Rodgers may see midfield as an area which needs to be added to, and after his performance against the team that will some be Scottish Premiership champions Rodgers may well up for McGinn to be the man.
