Finance guru salutes 'innovative' Man City as 'most valuable deal in Premier League' agreed
Man City are one of the most “innovative” clubs around when it comes to high-tech solutions – and their latest commercial deal further illustrates this.
That is the view of finance expert Doctor Dan Plumley, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about City’s renewed partnership with Unilumin.
The club announced on Tuesday (20 September) that they had extended their deal with the LED display solutions firm.
Unilumin will continue to develop the pitchside advertising hoardings at the Etihad.
City claim that the China-headquartered company has helped make their matchday advertising operation the “most commercially valuable in the Premier League”.
The reigning Premier League champions can use the smarts of Unilumin to advance their advertising capabilities and generate more cash, claims Plumley.

“I think we could see some technological improvements as part of the deal here,” the Sheffield Hallam University expert told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“That is the message that is coming out of the club. They claim that the company has made them the most commercially valuable club in the Premier League in that advertising space.
“City are most definitely the benchmark in this area. When you have deals like this in place, that then allows you to grow even further.
“They have been innovative in this area among others in recent years. You can see the rewards already. I expect them to continue to push on in this area in years to come too.”
