Man City: Tijjani Reijnders could be among three senior exits as summer transfer plan revealed
Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders could be among three senior players to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.
That is according to former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider Omar Marmoush and Savinho may also move on as Pep Guardiola looks to create space for potential incomings.
Reijnders only joined the Manchester giants from AC Milan in a £46.5million deal last summer, but he’s recently struggled for minutes at the Etihad.
Meanwhile, Marmoush and Savinho’s opportunities have also been limited, having joined the 10-time English champions last season.
Man City have spent heavily on rebuilding their squad after making several new additions in recent transfer windows.

Elliot Anderson is Man City’s number-one target heading into the summer transfer window.
However, Nottingham Forest are expected to demand a significant fee for the midfielder, leading to potential exits at the Etihad.

| Appearances | 44 | 42 |
| Starts | 28 | 38 |

| Assists | 7 | 3 |
| Yellow cards | 2 | 9 |

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson discussed Man City’s spending plans for the summer window.
“If we look over the last two or three years, you look at the number of players that have gone and the rebuilding that’s gone on, it’s been expensive, partly because I don’t think they all worked,” said Borson.
“When you are going through a rebuild of this nature, you have to expect that a few of them are going to fall by the wayside and are not going to work as signings. Then you’re going to have to try and find an exit for some of those players, and that might apply to someone like Reijnders, Marmoush or Savinho.
“You would think City are going to want to balance the incomings this summer with exits of that nature, but we’ll have to see.”
Why Rico Lewis is expected to leave Man City
Borson revealed the likes of Rico Lewis could also move on as Man City look to add funds to their summer budget.
“They’re talking about both the replacement for Bernardo Silva and also a right-back to go alongside Nunes,” said Borson.
“I would think you’ll probably see Rico Lewis move on. With hindsight, he should have moved on last summer. They did have an offer from Nottingham Forest, but instead he signed a new contract.

“It’s become clear that physically he’s just not going to play enough games at City and he needs to go, so I think that’s what’s going to happen.
“They’ll spend big, but they’ll also try and sell two or three players. Some of them youth players to take the profit from an SCR perspective and some of them just cutting their losses.”
