Man United fans have torn into Diogo Dalot following his performance in the Carabao Cup quarter final clash against Tottenham.

Ruben Amorim's side were dumped out of the cup after a 4-3 defeat away from home, with two goals from Dominic Solanke and one from Dejan Kulusevski putting the hosts 3-0 up.

Joshua Zirkzee and Amad Diallo then pulled goals back as United looked to mount a stunning comeback, before Son Heung-min scored directly from a corner to put the result out of reach, and a late consolation from Jonny Evans kept the scoreline respectable.

However, despite a number of unconvincing displays all over the pitch, it was Dalot who faced backlash from the travelling supporters for his display.

Playing as a left-wing-back on the night, the 25-year-old has often been deployed out of position and looks unnatural filling in on the left side due to an overreliance on his right foot.

That left United limited going forward on his side, while his lack of defensive awareness and poor decision making in attack was highlighted throughout.

Man United fans demand Diogo Dalot is sold after what they saw

As a result of Dalot's underwhelming performances so far this season, many fans have suggested he could be moved on when the transfer window opens.

Now, fans have reignited their calls for him to be sold in January, while many have taken to social media following the game to label him "horrible" and "a disgrace".
