Enzo Maresca and Manchester City could sanction a raid on Brazilian giants Palmeiras in the late stages of the transfer window.

Business at the Etihad Stadium this summer has been somewhat disappointing, only signin Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Monga and Geronimo Rulli.

Ayyoub Bouaddi is still yet to arrive from Lille on a big-money transfer, while Enzo Fernandez's future remains a talking point despite Chelsea's deadline.

This summer has been all about exits, with Omar Marmoush and Savinho likely to join Rodri out the exit doors in the coming days amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

It is Savinho's departure that appears to be sparking a move for another winger, even with Monga being signed from Leicester City for £13million.

Estevao of Chelsea, Real Madrid gem Endrick and Gabriel Jesus, formerly of Man City and currently of Arsenal, are all examples of players to have joined the Premier League from Palmeiras.

Man City eye Palmeiras raid for Savinho replacement

And according to FootMercato journalist Santi Aouna, the Citizens are moving forward with their plans to sign 22-year-old Allan Elias this summer.

The right-winger is seen as a direct replacement for the exit-bound Savinho, a player who has six goals and five assists in 41 games in 2026.

Last season was a breakout opportunity for the young star, catching the attention of European clubs with nine goal contributions in 54 games.

Allan has already bypassed that figure in fewer appearances, and as a result, could be on his way to the Etihad Stadium for the new season.

With the player under contract until 2029, it remains to be seen how cheap a deal would be, but Man City appear to be seriously interested.

Who is Allan Elias?

Very few supporters will have heard of the player, known simply by Allan, but he appears to be a very exciting prospect over in Brazil.

A predominantly right-winger who enjoys cutting onto his left-foot, the 22-year-old could cause a lot of issues for opposition full-backs.

He is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder, and is liked for his dribbling ability, technical quality, versatilty and strong left foot.

His rise to the top in Brazil has been rapid. He scored 17 goals in 43 games for Palmeiras' Under-20s in 2024, being given an opportunity in the first team.

Then, with 54 total appearances in his first season with the senior team, fans instantly sat up and took notice.
