Manchester City have no plans to entertain offers for Phil Foden despite reports from elsewhere, sources have told Football Insider.

The 26-year-old suffered a disappointing season last time out and fell out of Pep Guardiola's starting XI, leading to question marks about his long-term future at the club.

Reports in Turkey have suggested Galatasaray could make a move for the England international and are readying a big-money offer to lure him away from the Etihad.

However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Man City have no intention of letting Foden go and he remains a big part of their plans.

Following Enzo Maresca's appointment, the entire City squad have been offered a fresh start to impress the new boss and establish themselves in his first-team plans.

Foden will be among those players aiming to impress the new manager as he aims to bounce back from a poor season which saw him left out of the England World Cup squad.

Could Man City accept offers for Phil Foden?

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in March that Foden is facing an uncertain future at Man City with doubts creeping in about his recent form.

The midfielder started just 23 Premier League games last time out, and contributed to a goal or assist in just three of City's final 20 league games as they chased the title.

However, there is still a lot of belief in his abilities given what he has shown in the past, and Man City have no lingering doubts about his future.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "There's no doubt about Phil Foden's future at Man City, whatever the speculation surrounding him may be.

"I don't think Phil Foden would be interested in a move to Galatasaray and Galatasaray will not be able to get a deal done for Phil Foden, so that one's a non-starter really.

"Manchester City still have full confidence in Phil Foden, they see him as a big part of their plans not just now but into the future as well."

Man City to make Phil Foden announcement after 'agreement in principle'

What is the latest on Foden's contract talks at Man City?

Speculation about Foden's future at the Etihad has largely grown as a result of his contract situation, with just one year remaining on his current deal with Man City.

However, the club reached an agreement in principal over an extension in May, and talks have been ongoing as all parties remain keen to keep him around for the future.

Football Insider revealed on 17 July that Foden's contract extension is expcted to be announced by Man City in due course, with no current concerns about the deal.

Man City have no long-term concerns about the midfielder, and hope he will get back to his best under new management following Maresca's appointment.

As a result, Foden is expected to formally put pen to paper in the near future, easing any doubts about his future and ensuring he will remain at the club long-term.
