Mishel Nduka: Everything Man City fans should know about incoming gem from Arsenal

Manchester City look set to benefit from Arsenal's loss with the signing of academy gem Mishel Nduka this summer.

The Citizens have been a huge production line for some of the country's biggest talents, but they're about to take advantage of the Gunners' hard work.

The Athletic's David Ornstein has revealed that Arsenal had offered a new long-term deal to the 16-year-old talent, but he chose an exit instead.

Although Nduka never made his first-team debut for Mikel Arteta's side, he's seen as one of England's most exciting talents, especially for his age group.

Now, he will join Man City on a scholarship, with a professional contract to follow, and supporters will be anxiously waiting for his step up at the Etihad Stadium.

Many will be hoping that he follows in similar footsteps to 17-year-old Jeremy Monga, who has joined from Leicester City on £10million deal.

Arsenal have lost Mishel Nduka after just 10 months

The Gunners clearly didn't want to lose Nduka, but the pull to the Etihad, even with Enzo Maresca replacing Pep Guardiola, appears to be too strong.

Interestingly, Arsenal reportedly paid £600,000 to sign the youngster from Charlton Athletic in September 2025, but he has already pushed for a move away.

The talented midfielder spent eight years with the Addicks, and being born in 2010, it is incredible that two huge Premier League giants are fighting over him.

It is understood that Manchester United had also entered the race, but the Noisy Neighbours always appeared to be ahead of their rivals this summer.

What's Nduka's playing style?

Primarily an attacking midfielder, Nduka has been described as technically strong in tight spaces, comfortable under pressure, and a creative passer.

He's also good at dictating play, and can contribute in both halves of the pitch, giving him a huge chance of rising through the ranks at Man City.

At just 16 years of age, the youngster made 10 appearances for the Gunners' Under-18s, and even stepped up to the Under 21s on two occasions.

Sadly, one of his performances in the UEFA Youth League ended in disappointment, with a red card against Club Brugge, but that is only a small stain on his record.
