How Harry Kane feels about agreeing Man United move

Harry Kane is happy to stay at Bayern Munich amid continued interest in his services from Man United, sources have told Football Insider.

Kane remains a key man for Bayern but is nearing the end of his contract at the Allianz Arena next June.

Talks are underway for a long-term extension that would see him commit to the German champions for another three seasons.

The England captain has admitted that several terms are still yet to be agreed, despite confidence that an agreement will eventually be reached.

United are monitoring the situation, but as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Kane's main priority as it stands is to stay at Bayern

He also retains admirers at Tottenham and has been linked to Barcelona in the last few months, but a move next summer is not on the agenda right now.

Kane is constantly linked back to the Premier League as Alan Shearer's all-time scoring record remains within his reach.

The 33-year-old smashed the record for the quickest time to reach 100 Bundesliga goals in his 98th game in the division on Friday night.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "It seems that there's no current indication that Kane is seeking a move away. He seems happy at Bayern Munich as well.

"They offer him everything that he needs right now. I think there's a willingness from all parties to get a new deal agreed, and I'm sure that'll be something that the club will be hoping to sort out pretty soon."

Man United plotting new Jarrad Branthwaite approach after previous rejection

United's defence remains the root cause of their issues following a summer in which they decided against bolstering their backline.

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that United are considering a January bid for Everton centre-back Branthwaite to solve their issues.

They saw a "derisory" £35million bid for Branthwaite rejected by the Toffees in 2024, returning with a £50m offer that was also knocked back.

Everton will demand a huge fee for his services, particularly as he looks set to become a regular part of the England senior set-up under Thomas Tuchel.
