Man United 'make up their minds' over Bruno Fernandes transfer
Bruno Fernandes will not leave Manchester United despite several clubs eyeing a deal for the playmaking superstar.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that United are far more likely to extend the 32-year-old's contract.
With less than 12 months left on his current deal, attention has turned to the club captain's future, who notched nine goals and 22 assists in 2025-26.
It is understood that the Red Devils have the clause to extend the midfielder's contract by another year, and that the current deal also has a £57million release clause.
According to BBC Sport, Juventus, AC Milan and Galatasaray are all interested in Fernandes' signature, and supporters are concerned that his release clause could be triggered this summer.
No player comes close to the soon-to-be 32-year-old in terms of creativity and gravitas at Old Trafford, with only Erling Haaland recording more Premier League goal contributions last season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson suggested that an extension of his contract would be far more likely for Fernandes, unless his former "fell off a cliff".
No, not this summer. I don't think he'll want to go this summer. And they'll almost certainly extend with their option," he said.
"Unless, and I don't think it's going to happen with Fernandes, but it does happen with players as they get into their 30s... Unless he's one of these players that just has this fall-off-a-cliff-type scenario.
"This does happen, usually a little bit later than Fernandes' age. In that scenario you say, 'we're not going to take the option'.
"I think maybe they had that option on Casemiro as well, one they didn't take up. Ironically, actually, not because he fell off a cliff.
"He was probably better in his last season than he has been in the previous three. He won't be leaving. I don't think there's much in the story."
Do Man United have a plan for Fernandes?
Fernandes going into the final 12 months of his far from ideal for the Red Devils, especially given how important he is on the pitch.
Bryan Mbeumo's 14 goal contributions was the closest to the 31-year-old's 30 in the Premier League, as Michael Carrick's side finished third in the table.
Mick Brown told Football Insider last month that positive talks have already been held over the player's future, but nothing has been made public.
When he does finally leave, though, Football Insider understands that Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White will be viewed as a replacement in future windows.
