Celtic player ratings v Morton: Senior player is 4/10 as his poor form continues
COMMENT
Celtic eventually won their way into the Scottish Cup semi-final with a hard-fought 3-0 win over Morton in the quarter-final at Celtic Park on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers made one change from the side which defeated Aberdeen 2-0 but it was a big one, with Marvin Compper making his long-awaited debut, replacing Mikael Lustig.
The first-half saw the Bhoys get frustrated as they found Morton's packed defence difficult to breach, although Tom Rogic did come close on a few occasions.
With the game scoreless at half-time, Rodgers replaced the ineffective Scott Sinclair with Odsonne Edouard, who immediately missed two very good chances.
The Hoops made the breakthrough in the 62nd minute, Dembele heading home James Forrest's cross. The same player made it 2-0 nine minutes later, scoring from the penalty spot after Edouard had been fouled.
Edouard got a deserved goal and completed the scoring in the 90th minute. The draw for the semi-final is made after the Rangers versus Falkirk match on Sunday.

GOALKEEPER AND DEFENCE
Dorus de Vries - 6: Didn't have much to do in the game as the Hoops dominated for most of the match, real test for the 37-year-old will come in the upcoming Old Firm derby at Ibrox
Marvin Compper - 6: A slack pass at the start of the match was his only error as he cruised though the game, tougher tests lie ahead but it was a good debut for the player after being out for months
Jozo Simunovic - 5: Missed a great chance to give the Hoops the lead in the first-half with a header which went past the post, had a quiet game otherwise as the Championship side rarely threatened
Kristoffer Ajer - 6: Turned in yet another steady performance in a series of them, probably one of his quietest days in the Hoops as Morton posed so little of a challenge, the Old Firm derby will be a different story

MIDFIELD
Kieran Tierney - 6: Had a decent game in his role going forward, although his final ball let him down on occasion, his corners were a mixed bag as well but overall he played fairly well
Scott Brown - 6: Dominated the midfield as you would expect, strolled through the match and he will a huge player for the Bhoys in the upcoming Old Firm derby at Ibrox
Olivier Ntcham - 7: Unlucky not to score on a few occasions with long-range efforts on goal, a good performance from the Frenchman whose partnership with Brown will be vital in the weeks to come
James Forrest - 7: Another assist for a Dembele goal, the second in two games, had a good match, always threatened the Morton defence when he was on the ball as his excellent season continued
Tom Rogic - 7: Came close to breaking the deadlock twice in the first-half, played well as he continued his comeback from injury and may well be in contention to start at Ibrox next week
Scott Sinclair - 4: Another poor performance from Scotland's reigning player of the year who was replaced at half-time, the senior player's confidence looks shot to pieces and it would be a major shock if he started the Old Firm derby
