Arsenal announced a new long-term contract extension for midfielder Mo Elneny on Monday afternoon, but some fans are not impressed.

The news of the new deal was announced on the official Arsenal twitter page.

Wenger has heaped praise on the 25-year-old, who has been deployed in midfield as well as part of a back three at the Emirates.

Wenger said that his "best days are in front of him" after he struggled to adapt to the physicality of the Premier League.

However, fans aren't convinced by the player who signed from Basel for a free of around £11million in January 2016.

He has played 66 games for Arsenal since but has only made nine Premier League appearances this season, and some fans have said he's average and a sign of the club's ambitions.
