Barcelona are keen on a potential deal for Hull City winger Jaden Philogene, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed the Catalan giants have made initial enquiries about the 22-year-old but are yet to approach Hull.

Philogene only joined the Championship side in 2023 but shone for the Tigers in the 2023-24 campaign.

The England Under-21 international made 32 second-tier appearances last term, all of which came as part of the starting lineup.

He scored 12 goals and notched six assists in those outings and was Hull's top scorer as they finished just outside the playoffs.

Philogene is under contract at the MKM Stadium until June 2026 with the East Riding club holding the option to extend that deal a further 12 months.

He joined Hull from Aston Villa last summer (2023) with the Premier League club needing to sell home-grown stars to raise funds to avoid a breach of financial rules.

Villa will have the opportunity to buy Philogene back for £15million if they are in the same division as Hull, and also stand to benefit via a sell-on clause if he leaves.

Philogene made his debut for England's Under-21 side in October 2023 and has scored three goals in four games at that level.

Barcelona, who have only had 11 English players in their history, finished second in La Liga last term and will play Champions League football in the 2024-25 campaign.
