West Ham are strong favourites to sign Joe Hart from Manchester City this summer, according to the latest bookmaker odds.

SkyBet have the Hammers priced at 8/11 to snap up the 30-year-old goalkeeper before the transfer window slams shut in early September.

Aston Villa (4/1) and Newcastle (9/2) are also considered to be in the running for Hart, who is priced at 6/1 to stay at the Etihad past the summer despite failing to impress Pep Guardiola at the club.

BBC Sport has recently reported on their website that the Irons are holding an interest in the two-time Premier League title winner, while Manchester United have also held talks about a possible move for the England international.

Hart spent last season on loan in Italy with Torino, but suffered to recapture his old form with the Serie A outfit as he failed to put to bed the type of mistakes he endured while playing for England at Euro 2016.

West Ham already have a couple of decent options between the sticks in the shape of Darren Randolph and Adrian, but manager Slaven Bilic struggled to choose a No 1 last season as he switched between the two whenever their performances dropped.

Hart has played 378 times in all competitions for City and has been a key part in helping the Citizens' rise to the top of English football.
