Leeds United are set to offload midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi this summer after the green light from Marcelo Bielsa, Football Insider can reveal.

The manager has held extensive discussions with United chiefs and director of football Victor in the last week-and-a-half about possible summer transfers.

Bielsa's own position has not yet been resolved and, as revealed by Football Insider on Friday, a final decision will be made by the Argentine at the start of next week.

But Bielsa and Orta have spoken about which senior players could leave and generate the cash necessary to fund new signings and free up space on the wage bill.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that one of those is Japan international Ideguchi, who could secure a 'significant' fee in this window.

The 22-year-old was signed for around £500,000 from Gamba Osaka in January of last year and United would hope the three years remaining on his contract could help them secure a profit on him given his international experience and pedigree.

Ideguchi has not played a senior game for Leeds after spending the second half of last season on loan at Spanish second tier outfit Cultural Leonesa before spending the current campaign at Bundesliga 2 club Greuther Furth.

He missed a big chunk of the campaign after suffering cruciate ligament damage but returned to start two of the three final games of the campaign.
