COMMENT

Celtic are back in Scottish Premiership action against Hamilton on Wednesday, looking to maintain their five point lead - with a game in hand - at the top of the league.

The Hoops will be looking to get back on winning ways after squandering a two goal lead at Easter Road to 2-2 by Neil Lennon's Hibs.

Brendan Rodgers must make some changes from the team that drew with Hibs, more importantly he could tweak the formation from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2, with two men up-front.

Leigh Griffiths must come in for the axed Callum McGregor and Moussa Dembele should come in for Odsonne Edouard.

The Hoops defeated Hamilton 4-1 earlier in the season and will be huge favourites for the game but Hamilton, with victories at Easter Road and Ibrox already this season, are no mugs.

GOALKEEPER AND DEFENDERS

Craig Gordon (Goalkeeper) - Just edges out Dorus de Vries for the goalkeeping role, has to cut down on his mistakes or he will lose his place in the team, fans are beginning to lose patience with him.

Kieran Tierney (Left-back) - One of the best players in the UK but in need of a rest, the Hoops really need to sign another left-back in January so that Tierney can miss a game or two to avoid burnout.

Dedryck Boyata (Centre-half) - Not in the greatest form but still one of Celtic's best two central defenders. Was bullied at times against Hibs, will be looking to make up for it against Hamilton.

Jozo Simunovic (Centre-half) - Same as Boyata, not in the best form but one of Celtic's best defenders. Needs some competition for his place so that he can get a rest before he breaks down injured again.

Mikael Lustig (Right-back) - Another who has played plenty of games but shows no signs of stopping, kept his nerve with a last-minute goal-line clearance to prevent Hibs ending the Hoops long unbeaten run.

MIDFIELD

Scott Brown (Central-midfield) - Celtic's best player, the Hoops would be severely diminished without him in the team, probably needs a break but is playing far too well to be out of the team

Olivier Ntcham (Central-midfield) - Midfield partnership with Brown is starting to pay dividends, should have n extended run of games until the winter break at the end of December to prove his worth to the team.

James Forrest (Left-winger) - Guilty of missing a sitter against Hibs but still in the best form of his career, could be expected to add to his tally of goals against Hamilton

Scott Sinclair (Right-winger) - Fired back at his critics with his double against Hibs, now on 14 goals for the season but he can play better, still a vital player for the team when he's playing well.

FORWARDS

Moussa Dembele (Striker) - Was benched against Hibs in place of Odsonne Edouard, will rightfully have his place back in the first team for this game, needs a run of games to prove his fitness after a series of injuries.

Leigh Griffiths (Striker) -  A bit-part player in the last couple of weeks, he will be desperate to get back on the pitch and remind everyone of his talent, will be busting a gut to impress Brendan Rodgers. 24-year-old McGregor must be axed so he can start in the front two.
