Football Insider rates the Celtic players during their narrow 1-0 victory over St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday.

Craig Gordon 6 - Rarely tested by the opposition, but was up to the task when called upon.

Kieran Tierney 7 - Enterprising bursts down the left-hand side. Defensively sound.

Cristian Gamboa 6 - Gave St. Johnstone little room to attack on the right-hand side. A good display.

Dedryck Boyata 8 - The 26-year-old fringe player worked very hard for his team. Impacted the game all-over the pitch. Bagged the game's winning goal.

Jozo Simunovic 6 - Little to do for the most part, did well to restrict clear-cut opportunities.

Scott Brown 7 - Dominated the midfield. Excellent display to mark landmark 400th appearance.

Nir Bitton 6 - Decent display. Good distribution and awareness.

Scott Sinclair 8 - Created chances. Hared past defenders with driving runs. Sharp and agile.

Stuart Armstrong 6 - A constant nuisance in the final-third. Had a quieter second-half.

James Forrest 6 - Had impressive moments, but failed to create that one game-changing opportunity.

Moussa Dembele 5 - Not at his incisive best. Wasted several decent opportunities.

Subs:

Patrick Roberts 7 (for Forrest 63) - An immediate impact. Threatening from the outset. Sublime attacking play.

Leigh Griffiths 6 (for Dembele 75) - Little time to impact proceedings.

Erik Sviatchenko 6 (for Gamboa 83) - Brought on to maintain lead. Did just that.
