David Moyes tipped to quit West Ham and join Saudi club after 'what I've heard' - pundit
David Moyes could quit West Ham for the Saudi Pro League.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Hammers striker Frank McAvennie said that he has heard Moyes has an offer from a club in Saudi Arabia to take over as their manager.
On 17 June, Football Insider revealed that Moyes' future at the London Stadium is yet to be completely resolved.
The London club are closing in on the appointment of Tim Steidten as their new technical director and Moyes has concerns over how much his influence may be reduced if he stays on as boss.
But the club expect the Scot to remain as boss for the final year of his contract.
Despite a difficult season domestically, the Hammers finished 14th in the Premier League and six points clear of the relegation zone.
In Europe, Moyes guided the side to Europa Conference League victory and earn their first European trophy since 1965.
But McAvennie suggested Moyes could be on the move.
"I heard that David Moyes could be going to Saudi," he told Football Insider.
"David has got a year left on his contract, they have not offered him a new one so he is going to be under pressure in the first ten games to get them off to a good start.
"If Saudi come in for David that will be his swansong. He will go there for a couple of years then retire."
