Dele Alli is drinking in the "last chance saloon" under Antonio Conte at Tottenham, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England attacker revealed his former Aston Villa teammate Ashley Young had told him you have to work hard under Conte and Dele has to do that if he wants to revive his Spurs career.

Dele has not started in the Premier League since the north London derby at the end of September when he was hooked at half-time.

"When I look at the Spurs squad I still see problems there," Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

"It's alright changing the manager and the tactics but you're still going to need players who want to run around.

"Ashley Young said that at Inter the players had to run, training was hard.

"We've seen Dele Alli can run, so as long as these players that might come back into the fold put the yards in then they will play under Conte.

"He will give everyone a chance. Whenever a new manager comes in, if you've got no previous with them, it's a clean slate for everybody.

"This might be last chance saloon for him [Dele] now at Spurs. There have been a few managers that haven't played him.

"This is a chance for him to get back into the team and show what he can do. There's no reason why he can't do that under Conte."
