Liverpool demanding a seven-figure loan fee could scupper Harry Wilson's hopes of a move before Friday's domestic deadline, Football Insider understands.

However, a recruitment source has told Football Insider that reigning Premier League champions are demanding a loan fee "well in excess of £1million" for the Wales international which could cause any prospective moves to collapse.

There are multiple Championship clubs keen on doing a deal for the Wales international ahead of Friday's deadline but many could baulk at the Reds' significant loan fee demands.

Wilson has already shown himself to be a top performer in the second tier of English football after he scored 22 goals in 53 appearances during loan spells at Derby and Hull City.

He spent last season with Bournemouth but his seven goals were not enough to prevent the Cherries from being relegated.

With a move to another Premier League now off the cards until January, Jurgen Klopp has given the green light for the academy graduate to drop down a division again in pursuit of regular game time.

Wilson made only his second first-team appearance for Liverpool in the League Cup defeat to Arsenal earlier this season but he has not featured in a single Premier League matchday squad.
