Exclusive: Nuno green lights permanent exit of Wolves forward this month
Wolves are set to sell striker Niall Ennis on a permanent deal this month, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The forward, 21, has recently returned to Molineux after his season-long loan to Burton Albion was terminated at the midway point.
A Wolves source has told Football Insider that manager Nuno Espirito Santo has given the green light for Ennis to go for good.
Ennis spent the whole of last season at Doncaster Rovers and then headed to their League One rivals Burton in the first half of this campaign.
It did not work out in terms of goals and the 21-year-old failed to score in 10 appearances for the third-tier outfit.
The young forward had been far more successful at Doncaster last season.
He managed to score six goals and chip in with a further four assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.
Doncaster tried to re-sign Ennis last October but were hijacked by Burton at the eleventh hour.
At Wolves, Ennis has made only a single senior appearance and has yet to establish himself under Nuno.
Capped by England at Under-19 level, he has been more prolific for the club's Under-23s, scoring 12 times in 48 games.
It is likely that Ennis will continue his career at an EFL club rather than remain in the Premier League, and there is believed to be strong interest in him.
He has also previously had a spell on loan at Shrewsbury Town.
