Paul Robinson is blown away by the "immediate impact" of new boy Robert Snodgrass at The Hawthorns after West Brom beat Wolves.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former England number one claimed the victory showed that Sam Allardyce has "got the dressing room onside" after a difficult start.

The 3-2 win at Molineux was Allardyce's first in charge of the Baggies following his appointment in mid-December.

Snodgrass made five ball recoveries in the win, more than any other player on the pitch,  in what was his first appearance since signing from West Ham. (Wyscout)

He was congratulated by current and ex-players on his Instagram page shortly after, the likes of Declan Rice, Ally McCoist and John Terry hailed his performance.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the midfielder's full debut for the Baggies, Robinson said: "He had an immediate impact, I was impressed.

"Snodgrass is a player with great Premier League experience and he has been bought for his leadership on the field as well as off it.

"I thought he was great in behind Callum Robinson, as was Matheus Pereira. I thought West Brom were fantastic.

"You can tell Sam has got the dressing room onside because they went in 2-1 down at the break and fought back to win from that position, which is not easy. It shows you that they are playing for the manager."
