Exclusive: Robinson reacts after agent of Tottenham defender drops January exit reveal

Paul Robinson suggests that Tottenham defender Juan Foyth is looking for a move away from the club this month after a lack of game time under Jose Mourinho. 

The former Spurs and England goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says he thinks the Argentina international is starting to grow frustrated with his bit-part role in north London.

After just two appearances under Mourinho totalling 46 minutes, Foyth's agent, Claudio Curti, was quoted earlier in December as saying: "We are evaluating the possibility of going out in the January market."

Robinson says that despite Mourinho's comments about wanting to keep the 22-year-old on board, he thinks the 11-cap centre-back will be looking for a move before the month is over.

Foyth, it's an interesting one because the manager has said he wants to keep him around, he likes what he's seen in training and he wants to get him more game time," Robinson told Football Insider.

"But that didn't happen, that hasn't happened and if that is the case then maybe he's looking to get away. 

"Any footballer who is not playing is going to be frustrated." 

Foyth has just seven appearances under his belt for the Lilywhites this season, the majority coming while fellow countryman Mauricio Pochettino was in the dugout.

He was not included in the squad for the FA Cup clash away at Middlesbrough and only made the bench for the replay.

His last outing came in the 2-2 draw against Norwich City, Mourinho taking him off at half time.
