Fleetwood Town are in advanced talks to sign former Leeds midfielder Toumani Diagouraga,

understands. Diagouraga will become a free agent this weekend when his short-term deal with Plymouth expires and Fleetwood are poised to offer him a move to Highbury. French midfielder Diagouraga has impressed at Plymouth since joining the club on a free transfer in October following his departure from Leeds United after he was deemed surplus to requirements by Thomas Christiansen. Diagouraga has helped the club climb off the bottom of League One with a number of impressive displays with the Frenchman only being on the losing side in three out of nine 15 games since his arrival. A source close to the situation has told

that Plymouth were keen to extend Diagouraga's stay at Home Park, but League One rivals Fleetwood have swooped in and are ready to offer the 30-year-old a long-term deal to make the switch to Highbury. Fleetwood boss Uwe Rosler is a big fan of Diagouraga having worked with him during his time in charge of Brentford and he feels he can be a valuable addition to his plans. Diagouraga will become Fleetwood's third signing of this month's transfer window following the arrivals of Paddy Madden and Gethin Jones from Scunthorpe and Everton respectively.
