Former Rangers left-back Arthur Numan has praised the job done by manager Graeme Murty in recent weeks. The Dutch international was particularly impressed with the performance of his old team in the goalless draw at Celtic Park before winter break. Numan also praised Ibrox senior man Murty for sticking to his task during constant speculation that he was going to be replaced as interim manager, that didn't happen of course and Murty is in charge until the end of the season. "He's doing a good job so far. They were struggling to find a coach...I have to admit Murty knows the team," Numan said, as quoted by

account. "He was doing well, the game against Celtic, that gives the whole team a boost, the confidence. "Signing some new players as well, I think it looks all well."

The Gers have completed the signings of Sean Goss and Jamie Murphy so far this summer, with Jason Cummings and Russell Martin set to complete moves to Glasgow in the next 24 hours, whilst a bid for Kilmarnock's Jordan Jones

by the Ayrshire club. The Light Blues return to action following their successful trip to Florida to prepare their return to domestic duty, which begins with a Scottish Cup tie away to non-league Fraserburgh on Sunday. It will be interesting to see if Graeme Murty starts his new signings in the Cup or decides to wait until the match against Aberdeen on the 24th of January, a game which could have huge implications in the battle for second place in the Scottish Premiership table.
