Rangers released an official statement after Hibernian cut their fans' allocation of tickets for the final game of the season, a decision which the statement says "beggars belief".

They went on to say that they hoped their fans' safety wouldn't be compromised and ended with a direct threat that rangers would look at cutting Hibs' ticket allocations in the future.

Rangers fans loved the tone of the message and took to Twitter to support their club – something that hasn't been seen much in recent months.

One fan said they should "hit them where it hurts Bears" and asked how dare Hibs show them so much disrespect.

Another applauded the statement and said it's exactly the sort of message that Rangers should be putting out.

Finally, one fan demanded that Rangers give no tickets to away fans and keep Ibrox all for Rangers – something the club hierarchy will probably not be able to consider.
