Paul Robinson says that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos will be among the "top-three" striker targets for many clubs when the transfer window opens in summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Spurs and England keeper says the Colombian will be on the radar of clubs all over the globe thanks to his goal-scoring exploits.

Morelos was quoted as saying "there many interested clubs" in his capture, suggesting that Liverpool were "aware" of his goal-scoring exploits north of the border.

While he poured cold water over a potential move to Anfield, Robinson says there are going to be a lot of interested parties in a move for the hitman this summer.

Robinson told Football Insider: "I think the world of football is aware of him, you can't score the amount of goals and have the impact that you do like he does without making people aware.

"When people are looking for a striker in summer, he'll certainly be a name in the top three of many people's lists.

"I can't see how he'd fit into the Liverpool system, with the three up top, where he'd play I don't see a Liverpool deal happening but I suspect there will be plenty of suitors for him in the summer."

Morelos has scored 28 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions this season, just two less than he managed in the entirety of the 2018/19 campaign.

He has a total of 76 strikes in 128 games under his belt since moving to Ibrox, although his discipline has come under question at times.
