Johnstone 'not good enough' at West Brom - Robinson
Sam Johnstone has been guilty of "really poor" decision-making for West Brom this season, according to Paul Robinson.
The former Tottenham and England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 28-year-old was at fault for Queens Park Rangers' opener on Friday.
Johnstone was caught in no man's land after just 43 seconds at The Hawthorn's to gift Andre Gray his second goal of the season.
However, his error did not cost Valerien Ismael's side three points thanks to a late brace from Karlan Grant.
Robinson claimed Johnstone will not need telling about the mistake as he is a "top-quality goalkeeper".
"It was indecision and bad decision making," he told Football Insider's Dylan Childs.
"He committed to coming out and then started to retreat. I do not know what was going through his mind at the time.
"As a goalkeeper, nine times out of 10 when you have committed to something you stick with the decision. He obviously realised when he got to the edge of his box that his original decision was a really poor one. But let's be honest, he realised too late because Gray scored.
"Johnstone got stuck between a bad decision and an even worse decision. It was uncharacteristic and not good enough by his standards but he will know that.
"He won't need telling because he is a top quality goalkeeper."
