Leeds United have entered contract talks with attacker Pablo Hernandez, according to the Daily Mail, and fans are delighted.

Hernandez, 32, had said he wanted to stay at Leeds, with his contract set to expire in the summer – and it looks like he might get his wish.

It is said that officials are confident of getting a deal done and that manager Paul Heckingbottom sees the player as part of his long-term plans.

Leeds fans are overwhelmingly in support of a new deal for Hernandez, with one player saying the club should give him anything he wants.

Another said he's the sort of player you want around the club for years to come, pointing to a future coaching role for the Spaniard.
