Leeds fans have been highly critical of recruitment expert Victor Orta this season, after a string of poor buys in the summer.

However, it looked like he might be on the move after a recent report from Spain suggested he was leaving to take up a similar job at La Liga club Deportivo La Coruna.

Spanish publication El Periodico claimed that Orta was set to take over at Deportivo as new director of football.

Unfortunately, that appears to be off now as Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post delivered the update most Leeds fans were dreading.

He said that there had been lots of speculation about Orta and confirmed that Deportivo had approached him last week.

However, he said that Orta had turned them down and would stay at Leeds.

He said that another Spaniard, Carmelo del Pozo was set to take the job.

Loyalty like that is normally admired in football, but the majority of Leeds fans are gutted at the news, with one saying it was a "disaster for the club".

However, the feeling wasn't unanimous and there are still some fans who think that Orta is capable of finishing the job that he started.

One fan said he'd be far more worried if Orta walked away with the job half done.

Here are the best reactions from Leeds fans to the major update:
