Leeds United have registered their interest in signing Liverpool's midfield sensation Bobby Clark on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

Daniel Farke's side are the latest to express a desire to sign the midfielder, with Sheffield United and Norwich also keen and preparing formal offers.

RB Salzburg, meanwhile, have already opened talks with Liverpool over a permanent move.

However, the Reds are more likely to allow a loan move for the 19-year-old rather than letting him leave for good before 31 August.

Clark's current contract at Anfield is set to run until 2028, having agreed to new terms and an extension in December 2023, and there is no intention of letting him leave already.

Clark moved to Liverpool from Newcastle United's academy in 2021, and has proved himself as one of the most highly-rated prospects at the club.

His first-team debut came in August 2022 against Bournemouth, and the midfielder has since made 14 senior appearances for the Reds.

The new deal signed in 2023 is thought to have come with a promise that he would be shown a pathway to the first team, with a loan move currently viewed as the next step in his development.

Interest from Championship promotion contenders will provide Clark the opportunity to play at a high level and pick up regular match experience.

With Leeds having lost Archie Gray and Glen Kamara from their midfield this summer, the Liverpool man is being targeted to fill the gap in Farke's squad.

Football Insider revealed on 30 July that Liverpool have accelerated their move to sign a new midfielder, pushing Clark further down the pecking order at Anfield.

The arrival of a new option would free up space for Clarke's exit, with clubs racing to pip rivals to his signature on a season-long loan deal.
