Levy can stay one step ahead again by splashing out on red hot striker desperate on England move

Tottenham have had a habit of picking up top talents before their rivals have even considered a move and they can pull off another smart swoop this summer - if Daniel Levy splashes the cash.

Spurs seemed in a race of their own when it came to the captures of Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez and Lucas Moura during both the summer and winter transfer windows, demonstrating the canny transfer tactics of the chairman and his transfer team, working with manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Could they make it a hat trick of transfer markets where they completely blindside their rivals?

So what will it cost Levy to snap up the red hot striker, who has 14 goals in 27 league appearances since arriving in Spain?

Spanish publication AS claim he has a £44million release clause in his contract, which would be a record spend for the Lilywhites, but it is likely that it is there to ward off suitors without any intent of putting their money where their mouth is.

It will still cost Spurs a hefty sum to snap up his capture, but Levy's nous in the transfer market will make sure the club get the best deal possible.

The youngster seems destined for the very top, and, much like the capture of Davinson Sanchez last summer, splashing the cash will allow Levy and Tottenham to stay one step ahead of their rivals.
