Manager confirms PL stalwart's price tag after West Ham and Celtic reportedly seek swoop
Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal has said that club's seeking to sign Alfie Mawson must look to pay in the region of £50million after reported interest from West Ham and Celtic in the past few days.

. However, Carvalhal has suggested that the asking price is double of that which has been reported, insisting the club will not be looking to offload any of their top players as they face a battle for relegation. He told the
: "We will not sell the best players in January, the message is clear.
"I have had guarantees from the chairman, but it depends if someone comes in and gives £50million, £100million, £250million. Of course, then it is completely different.
"You can never say that it will not happen, but the fundamental idea is not to sell players and try to improve the team."
Mawson, who arrived at the Liberty Stadium in a £5million deal from Barnsley in 2016, has been a stalwart in Swansea's squad this season, having appeared in every minute of their 22 Premier League games this season, netting a solitary goal.
