Michail Antonio cited after West Ham source's sack reveal - 'they are not hanging about'
Alan Hutton has backed David Moyes to turn things around at West Ham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender insisted Moyes has enough "credit in the bank" to safeguard him from being sacked.
On 31 December, Football Insider revealed that the 59-year-old is edging closer to the sack after their latest defeat.
The Scot has overseen defeats to Brentford and Arsenal since the restart and his position is under serious threat.
Hammers fans were unimpressed with the team's performance in the 2-0 defeat to the Bees on Friday (30 December) and there were tens of thousands of empty seats at the London stadium long before full time.
The Irons are just one place above the relegation zone and have suffered 11 defeats from 17 Premier League games, despite a reported £161million summer transfer splurge on the likes of Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta.
But Hutton insisted Moyes will be given more time.
"I think he has got credit in the bank. In previous seasons he has done well, he has built a squad," he told Football Insider.
"They have got a lot of attacking options. They have spent money but the likes of Scamacca have not quite hit the ground running in terms of goals. [Michail] Antonio is the same.
"They were heavily reliant on the likes of [Jarrod] Bowen and [Tomas] Soucek and [Declan] Rice. I think it is just trying to get them going against and get them up to speed.
"You are going to be under pressure and it is so tight at the bottom. You look at some of the other teams and they are not hanging about in trying to change the manager.
"But I do think he has got credit in the bank and the squad to turn it around."
