West Ham fans have been wowed by the progress that Michael Antonio has made as new details have emerged regarding his rehabilitation.

The 34-year-old suffered a broken leg in a road traffic accident in December which left his footballing career in jeopardy.

Just two months later and the Daily Mail has revealed photographs of the Jamaica international in the gym working out.

Antonio is currently in Dubai for a 12-day warm-weather rehabilitation as he steps up his recovery progress as he pushes towards a return to the pitch.

The experienced forward is expected to be out of action for at least a year as he recovers from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Michail Antonio has been missed by the Hammers

Antonio’s presence has been missed by the Hammers since his injury as it left the club short in attacking options.

He is a proven threat in the Premier League, having scored 68 goals and provided 28 assists throughout his 268 games in the English top flight.

West Ham fans are amazed by his progress

West Ham fans have been blown away by the progress that they have seen from Antonio in such a short space of time.

The Irons faithful have admitted it’s “great news” as others confessed they “didn’t think he would be able to walk again.”
