Rangers have been installed as third favourites to sign former England international Gareth Barry this summer, according to the latest bookmakers' odds.

Bet Victor have priced the Glasgow giants at 6/1 to land the central midfielder, who turned 37 and is without a club following the expiry of his West Brom contract last month.

Barry's former club Aston Villa (7/2) are the favourites to land him, ahead of Cardiff City (4/1) and Rangers, while another Midlands outfit Wolves (10/1) are also in the running.

Evergreen midfielder Barry is the all-time leading Premier League appearance holder with over 650 games for a string of clubs.

The England international's best years were during his decade-plus at Aston Villa, but he also helped Manchester City win two Premier League titles before moving on to Everton and West Bromwich Albion.
