Rangers fans are fuming at the prospect of signing Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean this summer after the latest update on his move.

Reports claimed the deal remains on the cards as links refuse to go away, with the 32-year-old having just one year remaining on his deal at Carrow Road.

Philippe Clement's side are looking to strengthen their midfield following the departures of Ryan Jack and John Lundstram, with McLean one of their options.

However, fans are less than keen on the deal despite the midfielder's links to the club he supported as a boy, and have made their frustrations known on social media.

This comes after Football Insider revealed on 28 June that McLean could be offered the captaincy at Ibrox should he make the move this summer.

One fan shared an image of a young McLean wearing a Rangers shirt, telling the club to "bring him home", with some warming to the idea.

However, the majority of supporters at Ibrox made their frustrations known, with some labelling the potential deal "worrying" and "bizarre".
