Rangers fans have been left guessing over the future whereabouts of Vladimir Weiss after his latest Twitter post on Friday.

The 27-year-old became a favourite of the Ibrox faithful during his loan spell from Manchester City in 2010/11 and is currently playing for Qatari giants Al-Gharafa.

Supporters of the Light Blues have already begged Pedro Caixinha to re-sign Weiss, who scored five goals and supplied 15 assists in 35 appearances for the Scottish club during his year-long loan stay.

The fans have been sent into a frenzy now though, as they have began to speculate after the Slovakian international simply said on his personal Twitter account on Friday: "So I might be coming back."

Of course there is nothing concrete about Weiss' cryptic message as his career has also seen him play for Bolton, Espanyol, Pescara, Olympiakos and Lekhwiya.

That hasn't stopped Rangers fans from having their minds blown by the prospect of a return though, and here is a selection of their tweets:

Weiss has 21 league appearances for Al-Gharafa this season as his side finished in a disappointing fifth place in the standings.

However his performances in Qatar this term have been nothing short of top class as he scored ten goals and supplied two assists.

A thigh injury in February hampered his campaign though and he failed to provide anything in front of goal in the three matches after his return.
